About Daniel – Certified postural coach and movement educator

From somatic misdirection to mastering the method of conscious guidance and control.

My name is Daniel and I am a postural coach from Northern Italy. My goal is to help people regain their natural posture and freedom of movement.
My personal experience was the starting point. From an early age, I suffered from tension, misalignment and pain, which were signs of misdirected psychophysical coordination. Through self-observation, I realised that:
Every coordinated movement begins in the mind.

Postural correction therefore does not mean remaining still, but rather consciously aligning the body towards

  • expansion and balance,
  • recognising and inhibiting faulty patterns,
  • and directing the entire organism.

Sensation alone is not a reliable guide as it follows old habits. Only the thinking mind enables true change.

My work is rooted in the Rational Movement School, which was founded by F. M. Alexander and whose principles can be traced back to François Delsarte and John Dewey. Jeando Masoero has further developed and refined these principles into a precise, mindful and deeply transformative process.

My philosophy

Posture is not just an upright, rigid position; it is a dynamic process involving conscious guidance and coordination. The body functions as an integrated psychophysical system designed for efficient movement and balance. However, when this general coordination is lost, tension, misalignment and compensatory reactions emerge. Addressing symptoms without addressing their underlying cause is a superficial approach. The method I teach restores fundamental balance by employing the conscious direction of antagonistic actions – that is, coordinated movements in opposing directions. This generates lengthening, widening and expansion of the torso mechanism. Once the body is operating as an integrated, expanding system again, breathing improves, stability increases and energy is distributed more efficiently. The result is a poise that unites ease with inner balance.

From problem to purpose

My work is rooted in my personal experience of ingrained habits and an unreliable sense of bodily awareness. Confronting these issues formed the basis of my approach. I realised that many people want to improve their posture but lack a structured plan or the ability to control their actions consciously. Through self-analysis and practical experimentation, I developed a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of conscious movement and learned to compensate for this deficiency. I learned to prioritise reasoning over action and to deliberately inhibit misdirected patterns. What began as a personal challenge became my purpose: teaching people to make lasting changes to their posture and movement through clear direction, mental focus, and rational, conscious methods.

My mission

'Posture is Power' encapsulates the idea that genuine strength stems from awareness, considered movement, and precise coordination. Without control, energy is wasted and the body is used inefficiently. However, with conscious guidance, the interaction between breathing, circulation, digestion and posture improves.
My goal is to make postural re-education accessible and effective. Through visual analysis, objective feedback and explicit instruction, students learn to:

  • observe their movements consciously,
  • identify misdirected patterns,
  • and deliberately inhibit habitual reactions.

In this way, posture becomes a learnable skill – a discipline that the reasoning mind continually refines and maintains.
